Fill-In-The-Blank Friday

1. I am looking forward to:
summer, moving at the end of May,
and the family trip to Mackinac in July.

2. Something kind of embarrassing that I still love anyway is:
Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff.

Dancing to their music cheers me up, always!

3. My favorite car is: our semi-reliable little Sebring.

4. If I could pick one type of weather to live with for the rest of my life,
it would be: warm/hot without humidity! I love summer weather,
but hate how humid it can get in Michigan.

5. My favorite thing to do after a bad/stressful day is:
watch something happy on Netflix, or rant & rave with my husband.

6. This weekend, I am:
crocheting, running, working,
and attending my nephew's birthday party!
He'll be two.

7. If I were a color, I'd be: any pastel color
because they're my favorite and make me smile.
Pastels remind me of flowers and babies,
so beautiful.

Fill In the Blank Friday

1. The best prank I ever pulled was: when I was about twelve. I had stayed the night at a friend's the night before, and thought it'd be hilarious to call my mother and tell her I had fallen off the top bunk and broken my leg. It actually went awesomely. She started freaking out and my brother & sister were going crazy in the background. And then I yelled "April Fool's" into the phone, and thankfully she laughed. It didn't occur to me until a few years later that if my child ever did that, I'd probably be really upset/angry and ground them. I got off pretty easily!

2. The best prank ever pulled on me was: is hard to remember. I can't really think of anything.

3. A day without  my yarn and crochet hooks  is a day wasted.

4. The most important things in life are: the people I love with all my heart. Sometimes I forget that I don't need a lot of people around me to feel loved. I just need the few, but forever kind of people who light up my life.

5. I dream of: moving to Arizona, owning a little boutique full of yarn, and having four or five children.

6. I dread: being told I'm infertile and can't have children. It's my biggest fear and I have nightmares about it all the time. I also dread my husband ever dying or any of my family for that matter. It's scary.

7a. A discovery I made this week was: that I should stop crocheting baby stuff for our future babies. I've got about two crates full of sweaters and booties and bibs and blankets. And quite frankly, I have other things I could be doing with my time that might be more helpful toward our future (like working!)
7b. I also discovered that my husband can be the most romantic guy without even trying.

Fill in the Blank Friday

I haven't done one of these in a while, but here goes nothing!

1. My most prized possession is: my little pencil case of crochet hooks. Without it, I wouldn't be able to crochet as much as I do, and I'd probably go insane. After that, probably this chair I found on the side of the road that has both mustard yellow and olive green in its design.

2. If I could be one age for the rest of my life, I would want to be: 21. I've only been 21 for about four months, but it's already been the best year of my life, what with getting married and soon moving into our second, better-than-the-first apartment.

3. The best way to spend a weekend is: home, alone, with my hubby, watching movies on Netflix and crocheting.

4. My outlook on life is: fairly negative sometimes, but I'm making a conscious effort to not let those negative bits in my life take over and make me forget how good I've got it.

5. If you want to annoy me, just: tell me you have big decisions to make, rather than just telling me you've made a big decision. Or tap your fingers on something. Tapping really irks me for some reason. Or, or, hover over me while I'm blogging.

6. I am completely defenseless when it comes to: my husband, my kitten, or chocolate.

7. When dressing for the day, one should: always be comfy, but presentable. I don't know how many times I've had a neighbor or the postman knock on the door, and I'll actually pretend I'm not home because I'm wearing raggedy shorts, a frumpy xxxxxxl t-shirt, and my hair looks like a plane crashed into my pillow while I was sleeping.

Heh. That last bit made me laugh a little too hard.

Which reminds me: I laugh a little too hard at some of my own jokes,
and at others' jokes as well!

But hey, laughter is like a nice jog for your soul,
so I'm good. I love it.

Fill-In-The-Blank Friday

1.   The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is      smiley faces using either the colon & a capital D, or a colon and a bracket.
2.  Today I am thankful for   Bones (with Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz) and my knowledge of sewing by hand (so I can make pillows at 8am without waking my neighbors with the sewing machine).
3.  My best friend is   my husband. He's always there for me and always available when I want to go out.
4.  A quirky thing about me is    I love to travel with strangers. The only two times I've ever flown to another state, I was meeting a stranger on the other end (once for a college tour and once for a writing workshop).
5.  This weekend I    am meeting my hubby's great grandmother for the first time (it's her 90th birthday), going to see my sister Emilee in her school musical, and hopefully spending some time on Sunday with an old high school friend.
 6.  Something that worries me is   not knowing what's coming next in my life. I like to plan for big change and while I realize I can't always plan for it, I need to think that I can to not freak. the. eff. out.
 7.  On my night stand you would find   my cellphone, my glasses, my alarm clock/iPod dock, my late grandmother's yellow pyrex bowl, and a yellow storage box.
