Lily Bell!

I haven't mentioned it much here on the blog but the husband and I definitely adopted an adorable Beagle/Australian Shepard mix back in December.

Her name is Lily Bell, and now she's my favorite because she curls up on my feet while I'm crocheting, like she's my own personal space heater that also has dreams and makes funny noises in her sleep.

Some random day back in November my baby fever shifted to puppy fever.

It was sudden, but once the idea was in my head, I was hooked, so one Saturday shortly after my birthday, the husband and I drove forty five minutes to a pet shop where a local rescue was "showing" two litters of puppies. At this point, the husband wasn't one hundred percent sold on the idea of having a pup, but he said we could "look"...
And then he saw her and held her, with her droopy hound-dog eyes, floppy ears, and super mellow demeanor and fell in love. I was amazed at how blue her eyes were, but the woman said it's just the Aussie in her. So, we brought her home and while the husband argues that she's out to get him  (her mellow demeanor lasted until about ten minutes after we got her home)  but I think she's perfect for us because she keeps us on our toes, (hey, if we ever want to have kids, shouldn't we succeed at having a puppy first?) and her crazy amount of energy will be good for when we start taking her jogging.

She really is a sweet pup and we love her dearly!

Anyone else this side of the interweb have an adorable pup? Tell me about him/her!

    1. Thanks so much! I love having puppy around while the husband is at work. It makes me feel safe, even if she would probably run the other direction given I needed protection. Hah.

It's great that you're on an exclamation point high! Those are fun!

And yes, we should definitely grab coffee sometime!
